1. Who we are

We are responsible for the personal information we collect through this website. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and what you can do about it.
2. Who this policy covers
Accounts on nbgtele.com are business accounts. Even so, the information we hold — names, work emails, phone numbers, billing and shipping addresses — is personal information about individual people, and this policy applies to it.
3. What we collect
When you create a dealer account
Name, company name, work email, phone number, billing and shipping address, and the account credentials you choose. Accounts are reviewed before they are activated, and the pricing you see depends on the account type assigned to you.
When you place an order
The products ordered, order total and currency (CAD or USD), billing and shipping address, purchase order or reference numbers you supply, and the order history attached to your account. If your account has sub-accounts, we record which sub-account placed the order.
When you pay
Payments are processed by Stripe. Card numbers are entered in a Stripe-hosted field and go directly to Stripe — we never see or store your full card number. What we store is a payment token from Stripe (an identifier that lets us charge the saved card again), plus the card brand, last four digits and expiry date so that you can recognise it.
When you buy a SIM card plan or another subscription
The SIM/ICCID number, the plan and its billing cycle, activation and deactivation status, renewal dates, and the payment history for that subscription. To activate, suspend or cancel a SIM we send the SIM identifier to our connectivity providers (see section 6).
When you contact us
Whatever you put in our contact forms — name, company, email, the subject you pick and your message — plus any follow-up correspondence.
Automatically, when you browse the site
IP address, approximate location derived from it, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page, and the date and time. We use the country derived from your IP address to decide which currency and which product catalogue to show you.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information (health, biometric, or financial account details beyond what is described above), and we ask that you not send any to us.
4. Why we use it
| Purpose | What this looks like in practice |
|---|---|
| Running your account | Registering you, approving the account, letting you log in, applying your pricing tier, managing sub-accounts and credit limits |
| Fulfilling orders | Taking the order, taking payment, shipping, invoicing, handling returns |
| Managing subscriptions | Activating SIMs, billing renewals automatically on the agreed cycle, suspending or cancelling service |
| Customer support | Answering your questions, troubleshooting, warranty and RMA handling |
| Legal and accounting | Tax records, invoices, fraud prevention, and meeting our legal obligations |
| Improving the site | Understanding which pages and products are used, fixing problems, keeping the site secure |
| Marketing (only if you agree) | Product announcements and offers, which you can stop at any time |
We rely on your consent where the law requires it — for marketing, and for non-essential cookies. Everything else is necessary to provide the service you asked for, or to meet a legal obligation.
5. Automatic renewals
Subscription plans on this site renew automatically. When you buy one, you authorise us to charge the payment method saved on your account on each renewal date, at the price shown, until you cancel. We keep the Stripe payment token for exactly this purpose. You can view and cancel your subscriptions in My Account, or by contacting us. If a renewal payment is declined, we may retry it and will contact you about it.
6. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade it. We share it only with service providers who need it to do their job for us, and only for that purpose:
- Stripe — payment processing, saved payment methods, fraud checks
- Truphone / Kite (SIM connectivity providers) — SIM activation, suspension and cancellation
- Canada Post and other carriers — delivering your order (name, address, phone)
- Cloudflare — content delivery, caching, and protection against attacks
- Google (Analytics, Tag Manager, reCAPTCHA) — website analytics and spam protection on forms
- Our email delivery provider — sending order confirmations, renewal notices and replies
- Our hosting and backup providers — running and backing up the site
- Manufacturers and distributors — only where a warranty claim, RMA or drop-shipment requires it
- Our accountants, auditors and lawyers — where needed, under confidentiality obligations
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to respond to a valid legal request, or to protect our rights, our customers, or the security of our systems.
7. Where your information goes
We are based in Quebec, Canada. Some of the providers listed above process information outside Quebec and outside Canada — principally in the United States and the European Union. Those countries may not offer the same legal protections as Quebec. Before entrusting personal information to a provider outside Quebec, we assess whether it will receive adequate protection, and we require contractual safeguards.
8. How long we keep it
- Account information — while your account is open, and for 3 years after it is closed
- Orders, invoices and tax records — 7 years, as required by Canadian tax law
- Subscription and SIM records — for the life of the subscription, then 7 years as part of our billing records
- Contact form messages — 3 years from the last exchange
- Website analytics — 14 months
- Backups — overwritten on our normal backup rotation
When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we delete it or make it anonymous.
9. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use them in two ways.
Strictly necessary cookies keep you logged in, remember your cart, remember your language and currency, and protect our forms against spam. The site cannot work without them, so they are always active.
Analytics cookies let us measure how the site is used, in aggregate, with Google Analytics. These are switched off until you agree to them. Nothing analytics-related loads on your first visit unless you accept.
The first time you visit, we ask you to choose. You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie preferences link in the footer of every page, and withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser, but parts of the site — logging in and checking out in particular — will stop working.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a refusal of analytics cookies automatically.
10. How we protect it
The whole site runs over HTTPS. Passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text. Card numbers never reach our servers. Access to customer data in the administration area is limited to staff who need it, and administrative actions are logged. We keep the site, its plugins and its server software updated.
No system is perfectly secure. If a privacy incident presents a risk of serious injury, we will notify you and the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec as the law requires.
11. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct it if it is inaccurate or incomplete
- Withdraw consent to marketing, or to any processing based on consent
- Receive a copy of the information you gave us, in a structured, commonly used technical format, and ask us to send it to someone else (portability)
- Ask us to stop distributing information, or to de-index a link, where the law allows
- Complain to the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec (cai.gouv.qc.ca) or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca)
Much of this you can do yourself in My Account. Otherwise, write to our Privacy Officer below. We will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.
12. Automated decisions
We do not make decisions about you based only on automated processing.
13. Children
This site is for businesses. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 14.
14. Privacy Officer
Under Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, we have designated a person responsible for the protection of personal information. You can reach them at:
- Email: [email protected], attention: Privacy Officer
- Mail: Privacy Officer, NBG Telecom, 5200 Charleroi Street, Montréal-Nord, Quebec H1G 3A1
- Phone: 1-833-624-8353
15. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will post the new version here and update the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will tell you directly.
